The year 2022 was marked by numerous events (the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis, the climate crisis, etc.). These events led to record inflation worldwide. In this context, the transport sector was not spared; quite the contrary, and we'll explain why:
As an indication, between 2021 and 2022, fuel increased by an average of 20%, which represents approximately 30 cents more per liter.
This trend is unlikely to reverse anytime soon, given the continued increase in the total cost of production for heavy goods vehicles. The National Council of the Resistance forecasts an increase of around 8.8% for 2023.
Indeed, several factors whose price increases impact the pricing of logistics services: drivers' wages , tolls , vehicle prices and maintenance costs .

In this inflationary context, and despite our resilience, we found ourselves facing a significant challenge. Two complex business strategies were therefore presented to us:
- Bill all shipping costs to our customers
- Increase the amount of free shipping
We have made the strategic choice to increase the amount of free shipping.
